Q1 CUFFS

Analyse how sound is used in the extract to create meaning. refer to at least two examples from the extract  in your answer.

There is a understated piece of music that is playing when action is taking place, this is demonstrated where we see the  police start to flood to the crime scene, this is where the tension starts building and the music begins to start. The music itself progressively gets louder and faster, heightening the tension within the situation.
Before the action starts there is the sound effects of the glass breaking and the screaming of the voices this obviously indicating the danger, and making the scene seem more realistic. When the police officers are sat in the diner there is calm background music playing and other people talking in the background it makes the scene seem calm, normalizing the situation. this juxtaposes the immediate panic when the other police women is screaming down the radio.
